What does RN Ascend make?
We build clinical reference cards (badge-sized and pocket-sized), flashcard sets across major nursing topics, the Nursing School Survival Guide, and the RN Ascend Student App with NCLEX Mastery and our AI study assistant, Clio. We also publish career guidance for students deciding whether and where to pursue nursing.
Who are RN Ascend products for?
Primarily nursing students in BSN and ADN programs, and new graduates preparing for the NCLEX. Our clinical reference cards are also used by working nurses, and our career content is built for pre-nursing students.
Are the products designed by actual nurses?
Yes. Every clinical product is created or reviewed by a working clinical instructor. You can read more on our clinical team page.
How do I track my order?
You will receive a confirmation email with tracking once your order ships. See our shipping and returns page for processing and delivery timeframes.
Digital products and code redemption
What is the code that comes with my flashcards?
Every physical flashcard set includes a code to unlock the matching digital set in the RN Ascend Student App. One purchase, both formats: reference the cards at the bedside, study the digital set with spaced repetition at home.
How do I redeem my code?
Open the RN Ascend Student App, go to Settings, tap Redeem Code, and enter the code from your card set insert. Full steps are on our redeem your code page.
Can I buy the digital flashcard sets on their own?
Yes. Digital sets are available as standalone purchases, or unlocked free with the matching physical set.

What is NCLEX Mastery?
NCLEX Mastery is the study program inside the RN Ascend Student App. It comes in 30, 60, and 90 day access tiers built around how far out your exam is, with an adaptive question bank and clinical reasoning tools. Learn more on the app page.
What is Clio?
Clio is our AI study assistant inside the app. Clio explains why an answer is wrong, walks you through the clinical reasoning, and adapts to where you struggle. Meet Clio on the Clio page.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. The app is built to work during clinicals, between shifts, and anywhere reception is unreliable.
Shipping and returns
How long does shipping take?
Processing and delivery timeframes are listed on our shipping and returns page.
What is your return policy?
Physical products can be returned in original condition within the window listed on our shipping and returns page. Digital products are non-refundable once redeemed.

Who founded RN Ascend?

Is RN Ascend affiliated with a nursing school?
No. RN Ascend is an independent nursing education company. We partner with nursing schools through our lead-generation programs, but we are not affiliated with any specific institution or curriculum.
Do you guarantee I will pass the NCLEX?
No, and you should be cautious of any company that does. Our tools are built to develop the clinical reasoning the NCLEX tests, but your result depends on many factors. What we promise is content created and reviewed by clinical instructors, designed to help you think like a nurse.
